Introducing Nimbus

Let’s face it: launching a food business in a place like New York City can be daunting. Real estate costs are astronomical, commercial kitchen spaces are difficult to maintain, and the never ending labyrinth of paperwork required to operate legally can seem insurmountable.

Enter: Nimbus. We were founded with the express purpose of helping New York City food businesses grow and thrive. We design and operate affordable, flexible, and premium kitchen and event spaces to allow businesses to launch their concepts, operate at maximum efficiency, and scale production with little risk and a minimal capital commitment. We have created a turn-key infrastructure and we take care of all the nitty gritty operations that go into running a kitchen.

We offer :

Long-Term Kitchens:

Our long-term kitchens, available on 6-month or annual terms, allow established concepts to test a new market or scale with limited upfront capital. Best Damn Cookies, a cult New York cookie brand has been one of our longest-running long-term kitchen users in our Lower East Side facility.

Hourly Kitchens:

Our hourly kitchen rentals are available on-demand and have low monthly minimums, providing flexibility and scalability for new, growing, or seasonal businesses. Harvest Moon, Red Rabbit and Laroot have been consistent users across both locations and love our flexible rental model.

Storage:

Our on-site dry, cold, and frozen storage gives our members and outside businesses the storage space they need to support their businesses. The Vurger, a highly acclaimed vegan fast food restaurant recently used our storage products to prepare for NY vegan food festival Vegandale. Our storage options are available to rent nightly, monthly, or annually.

Studio + Event Space:

Our event spaces and adjacent show kitchens give our members and the broader community room to create content, host a tasting, or throw a dinner party. Netflix and Postmates recently hosted Bad Vegan’ Pure Food & Wine Pop-Up to celebrate the launch of their docuseries. Hungry House recently dropped their newest collaboration with Baked by Melissa and Bowery Farming from our Nimbus Lower East Side events venue.
