Nimbus hosts a suite of holiday events to showcase NYC’s most exciting food businesses December 8th to 11th
Nimbus’s four-day event highlights the industry’s most exciting makers: a cooking demonstration by EatMise, an ice cream collaboration between Caffé Panna and BiBi Bakery, a pop-up dinner by 2 Girls and Cookshop, and a market stall by Best Damn Cookies.
December 5, 2022 (New York, NY) – Nimbus, an innovative shared kitchen start-up, is hosting a four-day holiday event at its Downtown Brooklyn location at 383 Bridge Street from Thursday, December 8 to Sunday, December 11. The festive affair is in collaboration with Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and will promote local food makers through a pop-up holiday market, dinner parties, cooking demonstrations, giveaways and more.
“As the only off-premise kitchen in NYC that combines turn-key commercial kitchens with consumer-facing community event spaces, we’re excited to activate our unique real estate to bring New York City’s most exciting food operators directly to consumers,” says Romina Gupta, Strategy & Operations Manager at Nimbus. “We invite all New Yorkers to visit our Downtown Brooklyn facility, stock up on last minute holiday gifts, enjoy sweet and savory treats, and join in the magic of the holidays.”
“Brooklyn is home to a diverse, bustling dining scene and Nimbus’s holiday extravaganza is the perfect opportunity for New Yorkers from all five boroughs to taste some of the best food our neighborhood has to offer,” says Regina Myer, President of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership. “We’re proud to partner with Nimbus on this event that will not only spotlight local eateries but will also offer fun activities for our community to participate in, from a pop-up dinner series to live cooking demonstrations. We look forward to welcoming food lovers from across the city to this exciting holiday celebration!”
Each evening, Nimbus will host a limited-seating pop-up dinner series in its dining room, showcasing a range of cuisines from its members, including Little Grenjai (a Thai supper club), 2 Girls & a Cookshop (a Jamaican taco party), and Patikim (a Filipino Christmas celebration dinner and night market). Follow @nimbuskitchen on Instagram for menu drops and reservation details.
On Saturday and Sunday, a pop-up market will offer limited-edition baklava ice cream collaboration between famed Caffé Panna and upstart Iranian bakery, BiBi Bakery; hand-crafted artisanal hot sauce by BKLYNSAUS; pre-blended Indian spices by Moji Masala; and spicy hot chocolate from Best Damn Cookies.
Finally, the event will feature live cooking demonstrations from BITE BKLYN (a women-, queer-, and family-owned bakery in NYC), and EatMise (a startup that partners with NYC restaurants to create fresh meal kits to cook at home in 15 minutes or less). “We’re thrilled to bring a taste of the EatMise experience to Brooklyn for Nimbus’s holiday market! It’s been an eventful and exciting year of growth for both EatMise and Nimbus in New York City, and we’re looking forward to our continued collaboration in the new year to engage New Yorkers and the city’s vibrant food, restaurant, and hospitality communities,” says Elizabeth Sabol-Jones, Head of Operations at EatMise.
Nimbus, a female-founded business that prides itself in giving underrepresented food business owners access to the commercial kitchen space, is proud that over 50% of showcased brands are women-owned businesses.
This Nimbus holiday event is hosted in collaboration with Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, a non-profit development organization that supports local small businesses in the community.
