What our members have to say

Brooklyn Curry Project

Swetha and her husband Venkat used to enjoy going on dates to chaat centers in Bangalore before they moved to New York City. However, they struggled to find South Indian food that reminded them of home after they moved. As a result, they decided to start a weekend dosa stall at the Fort Greene farmers market in Brooklyn. The stall became popular, drawing hundreds of people to line up for dosa and idly. Still, Swetha felt she had more to offer than what a food stall could provide. So, she decided to host monthly family meals at Nimbus Downtown Brooklyn, featuring a wide variety of Indian food. Her menus change monthly, and the studio kitchen and event space allow her to engage with her loyal customers on a more personal level.
