Supporting food entrepreneurs in NYC: Nimbus & Masc Hospitality Group’s collaborative partnership

New York City summers are synonymous with the feeling of open air, the music of its diverse cultures blaring through the streets, and the tantalizing aromas of every cuisine leading you to unexpected culinary adventures. The city’s vibrant food scene is uniquely captured in its multitude of food markets, which blend these elements into an unparalleled gastronomic experience.

To further enhance this dynamic atmosphere, Nimbus is excited to announce a new partnership with Masc Hospitality Group (MHG), the driving force behind the iconic Night Markets in New York City!

About Masc Hospitality Group and Nimbus: A perfect partnership

Masc Hospitality Group (MHG) was founded in 2017 by Marco Shalma, who set out to create events that were far more than food markets, but cultural phenomenons that brought food lovers together from all over the city. This led to the now six markets hosted on a monthly basis across New York: The Bronx Night Market, Brooklyn Night Market, Uptown Night Market, Vegan Night Market, Latin Night Market, and Long Island Night Market.

For those unfamiliar, Nimbus is a co-cooking facility offering both hourly and long-term kitchen rentals across five US locations. Our flexible model is tailored for small business owners, allowing them to cook, prep, or pack their products for as little as four hours per shift—a perfect solution for those vending at markets.

This alignment of goals made partnering with MHG an evident choice for Nimbus. Since our launch in 2021, Nimbus has supported numerous members who have sold their products at various markets and recurring retail venues. Many of these markets mandate that vendors operate from an approved commissary kitchen space or restaurant, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

It was a natural step for Nimbus to extend our facilities to MHG’s vendors, offering comprehensive kitchen equipment, maintenance, and onsite support to help entrepreneurs streamline their operations. MHG, in turn, is eager to enhance their event offerings, finding in Nimbus members the ideal vendors to enrich their markets.

What this partnership means for vendors and members

This partnership aims to foster collaboration and mutual promotion throughout the 2024 market season. By aligning our efforts, Nimbus and MHG will identify and connect top members and vendors whose profiles complement each other’s needs and growth objectives. Through this strategic alliance, both organizations will have the opportunity to expand their networks and advance their business goals.

For MHG vendors looking to leverage Nimbus’s commercial kitchen rentals, exclusive pricing and incentives will be available for both kitchen and event space bookings. This means that vendors interested in reserving additional time for pop-ups, dinners, or special events will find our facilities more accessible and cost-effective.

Conversely, Nimbus members who join MHG as new vendors will benefit from special pricing and a tailored onboarding process. Returning vendors will enjoy priority placement at MHG’s markets. These benefits are designed to significantly enhance revenue opportunities and boost brand visibility for participating business owners.

The expected impact and benefits of our collaboration

We are excited about the potential benefits this partnership will bring to both Nimbus members and MHG vendors. Our goal is to reflect on the season’s end and see numerous Nimbus members successfully showcasing their products at the Night Markets, while several MHG vendors take full advantage of Nimbus kitchens to elevate their operations.

This collaboration aims to create substantial value for both parties, aligning with our core missions. Nimbus is dedicated to empowering culinary institutions and emerging food brands, helping them thrive in the competitive food industry. Whether a business is testing a new concept or is a local favorite with a growing following, Nimbus offers the support needed to advance their goals. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to connecting businesses with opportunities that propel them forward.

For MHG, this alliance means expanding their network of new and established businesses and enriching their Night Markets with a diverse array of culinary offerings. The partnership with Nimbus enhances MHG’s ability to attract new attendees and deliver even more dynamic and varied experiences at their events.

Janae Butler, Director of Partnerships at Nimbus, stated, “At the heart of what MHG and Nimbus share is a profound commitment to community. MHG’s exceptional events have fostered vibrant networks throughout the city, demonstrating their dedication to bringing people together. This collaboration integrates our communities in a way that feels both natural and perfectly aligned. We are excited to join forces with the MHG team to support and elevate New York City’s food entrepreneurs.”
